ESPN's plan is probably a non-starter because KY isn't paired with TN


and Arkansas isn't paired with LSU. If the SEC just increases its conference games to 9, then there would be no reason to consider ESPN's wanky plan.

7 members in each division
1 protected cross-division member
6 rotating cross-division members

The 6 rotating cross-division members are divided up into 3 pairs of 2 that rotate every year or every 2 years. The complete rotation would be done in 6 years. Plus, it would allow the SEC to protect its 2 important rivalries; AL vs. TN and Auburn vs. UGA (aka The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry).
